After several failed attempts....such as trying to shoot the trains break button or leap aboard from a helicopter....enters Frank (Denzel Washington).....28 years as an engineer and being forced to retire.... and Will (Christ Pine) the new recruit, who carries his own cocky arrogance. That same morning they will head out on their run in a much older engine. Their eventual destination #777...
The train scenes are top-notch. But what makes this an enjoyable film is the chemistry between Denzel and Chris, and how their differences are repaired. The plot is nothing new nor a type of film I would enjoy every week, but an occasional train ride is okay too.
