Does anybody remember this Jim Henson dark gem from the 80's? I just saw it for the first time tonight and I LOVED it, it was just so crazy and it was like they were doing a new version of the Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland and it was just so funny and I love that music! David Bowie as the King Goblin, that was brilliant!
No, they don't really have anything to do with one another except for being fantasies. I like Labyrinth a little better but TNES is worth a watch too IMO.

One part I love is when they're running from the soldiers, hiding in a house and Hoggle says 'how's Ludo going to get in?' and Ludo just rips the side of the house open and closes it.
