| If you went to college, did you go out of state or locally? Did you live on campus?
I went out of state, lived in the dorm for the first two years. Then I got an off campus apartment for the other two.

| I went in state. I lived on campus during the week and went home on weekends. I was in a typical freshman dorm at the beginning and then basically an on-campus apartment later. Ah, memories. The college fell on hard times after I graduated and I found out it went under around 1995. I saw pictures of the abandoned campus. Kind of sad. | |

| I went locally and kept living at home. I didn't really wanna uproot to some strange state I knew nothing about and live with a bunch of strangers. | |

| It was local in that it was still in the state, but the college was in another town, but I attended online so I was able to stay at home because I was too young to go live on campus when I started. | |

| I went away and am glad I did. One of the best experiences of my life. I needed to get out from under the thumb of family and get that first taste of independence. I would recommend everyone do it. | |

| Am I the only one on this board who didn't go to college?
I went to USAF. I slept in a dorm. Went out of state & studied overseas. Finished a 4-year course and graduated with an honorable discharge.

| I'm currently attending locally; my college is about thirty miles from where I live now. For my first semester, I lived off campus with five other roommates in a duplex that was a few blocks away from campus, but unfortunately, I didn't quite fit in with them. I moved back in with my parents for the following semester, and then I moved into the apartment I'm still in now, where I live by myself and love it. | |

Ditto. I didn't leave Jersey, but had to move away from my parents.

I went to the Camden campus, despite both the New Brunswick and Newark campuses only being literally 15 minutes to a half hour away from my parents house. I understand you're not wanting to pay extra, because the tuition is significantly more (over ten grand more, actually) if you come from out of state.

I was going to try and be slick and use my cousin's address in Jersey City to set up residency, but I don't think that would've worked out to well. When I graduated high school, out of state tuition at Rutgers was like 19, 20 grand. Including room and board. I was like 'ummmm, no'.
