    Are there any directors who's movies you will make a point see? Especially if they also wrote the script. I'm thinking more of people who are still making films but if you've recently discovered someone from the past, they count too.

    Here are a few of mine in no particular order:

    The Coen Brothers
    Terry Gilliam
    Guy Ritchie
    John Sayles
    Quentin Tarantino

    I'm not saying I think this list represents the best, just personal favorites. Anyone else?

    You just did JB Wink. Again, this shouldn't become a debate on who's the best. Who's your favorite? Who do you get excited about hearing that they have something new coming out regardless who's in it?
