Blizzard coming our way today

NY and Long Island are bracing for our first snowstorm of the year, expected up to 16 inches. Can't hardly wait to get the shovels out.

We're expecting more than a foot too Tony. It's going to suck trying to get to work tomorrow.

Yeah I heard you guys are going to get buried as well. I have off tomorrow I had an appointment in the afternoon but I guess I will have to cancel it and just stay home and watch everything disappear under the white. They also say its going to be White Out conditions and 60mph winds so this one is going to be pretty bad.

I just spoke with a friend of ours who is stranded in Orlando and can't get back until Wednesday. She said it's supposed to get into the 20s tonight but no snow. That would be a disaster! Can you imagine people down there with no experience for driving in the snow? My other brother in law moved to Texas years ago. When he was living in Austin they had a freak snow occurance. He told us he just sat on his porch and watched the people play "bumper cars" up and down his block.

I spoke to my friends in Tampa this morning, it was raining there and it was cold too but of course no snow. They are former New Yorkers so they can deal with the dropped temperatures. Wow 20 in Orlando, wonder if Disneyland is open LOL.

So far we have about an inch on the ground and its coming down a lot harder.

We have a white out, can't even see the house next door the wind and snow is blowing everywhere. Hope we don't get a blackout.

Right now the flurries are coming down hard here too. Ahhh, winter.

Good thing I called out today. I wasn't trying to deal with that. Chilled and stuffed my face the whole day.

The forecast was for the 20s. Still, I guess there's not that big a difference between 29 and 20. Cold is cold.

They'll have everything cleared by tommorrow....so I can't use that as an excuse to call out like I did today. The snow was up to my damn doorknob when I walked out this morning. My street still hasn't been plowed, and I don't think it will be anytime soon. Oh well, it was a perfect day for me. Got to go back home and go back to sleep and chill out the rest of the day.

I hope they do, hate to have to use a vacation day for this lousy weather. I hope the Subway is running as well. Good that you got some extra sleep though.

They got 4 days to get Time Square squared away.

Hope things aren't too bad for you. It's warmed up enough where I am that the snow is actually starting to melt.

For old time's sake

We had a hell of a winter too. Promised to not complain too much. I keep trying to remind myself of that in this brutal heat. Already 80.

I remember that blizzard it was a disaster we got over 2 feet of snow, we sure could use some of that cool weather now LOL
