The Godfather Series

The original is phenomenal and I have watched it like 20 times. Brando and Pacino, nuff said. One of the best movies of all time.

Part 2 is good but I didn't love as much. I only watched it once a long time ago so maybe I need to watch it again because it's as well received as the first. Part 3 I just flat out didn't like, I think too much time passed between the first two and it. Something about it leaves me cold.

Opinions?

First two are classic. Thought 2 was slightly better than 1 & 3 should never have even been made. I have the boxset & when I watch it I don't even bother with the third one.

never seen the series... but would like to,

I've only ever seen the first one and that's about all I plan to see.

The second was better than the first, the last one I never even watched.

Robbie, I own the complete DVD set and have never seen it!!!! I have always wanted to sit down and get into it but never seem to have the desire!!!

I only saw the first one....and that was only once, back when I was in high school and the teacher showed it to the class. The part that sticks out to me is when

Never really a big fan of mafia movies so I never had the urge to watch the others.

One scene in the first movie that a lot of people are torn on, is when Johnny Fontaine is going 'what can I do?' and Vito grabs him and slaps him and mocks him. Some people think that's mean, that it's not funny at all, I disagree, I always laugh my ass off at that part, I love it when he slaps him and goes 'YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN! 'aha Godfather what can I do? what can I do?' I love that part, people who don't think it's funny have no sense of humor.

Well sorry. I do have a sense of humor and I didn't laugh.
