Yesterday the mayor and police and commissioners were on the TV and in the paper telling the morons who can't grasp basic physics not to shoot into the air (they actually explained that if it goes up it comes down - at 700 feet per second). And every year they do. And some years they kill or wound some innocent person.

Let's see, in 1997 a stray bullet killed a 5-year-old girl here.

In 2007 a 35-year-old man with kids AND a 69-year-old woman were killed by New Years shots fired in the air.

Last Year a 6-year-old Italian tourist kid was shot but survived. (that is a visitors convention nightmare).

IDK, how stupid or pathological ppl can be. They probably drive and text at the same time.

I hate when people do this. I don't see the point. *bang bang bang bang* WHY?

A few years ago a woman was killed on the freeway the 4th of July by a stray bullet from some dumbass. It's like they're too stupid to wonder where the bullets are gonna go. Up in the air & gently fall on the ground? Idiots.

Actually, the bullet fired blocks away could be the one to hit you. PPl don't know that the bullet goes a couple miles up - then comes back down gaining almost as much force as when fired. Just a slight tilt could put it across town.

My uncle shoots his riffle off at midnight every January 1st. When the ball dropped in 1991, he came over to my parents house, took me out on the back porch and had me fire off a round with him.

Is your uncle a moron? I know Florida does not enforce laws against selling guns to the mentally impaired. Just watch the news.

Has anyone explained the most basic Newtonian physics to him? Does he even consider where the bullet goes after he fires it up in the air?

I've never heard of that happening here but there also aren't a lot of guns. Most I heard was firecrackers. I don't think you can fire guns here and get away with it, or maybe it's just something that's never happened. Scary to think of the repercussions.
