I don't want that to mar my publishing capabilities.

How many people do you think would actually pay attention to a story like that?

Why was this even on the news in the first place?

Because the mother has books she wants to sell.

Yeah..this is the thing. It seems to be a lot more about her than her son. Even if her intentions are good she's not doing him any favors by dragging him all over the tv. If he truly is identifying as female things are going to be rough enough for him already.

Yeah - it really does seem to more about the Mom peddling her book than about the boy liking dresses.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine was really concerned because her son wanted to wear girly things and loved dresses and such. after trying unsuccessfully to discourage him, she finally asked him what he liked about them and it turned out his favourite colour was pink. It wasn't about the dresses but the colour and there wasn't a lot of pink clothing for boys, so that's why he wanted girls' clothing. Not saying this is the case with the little boy, as he wears dresses of different colours, but this interview seemed more like the Mom using her child to sell her book.

My friend in Fort Lauderdale took this pic on New Year's Day.

Just makes me wonder if he wore girls clothes as a child. Not so cute any more.
