What do you want on your tombstone?

Since we've been on the subject of pondering our mortality...do you ever wonder about what you want as your epitaph? I never really thought about it but today I was thinking, half jokingly, that a line from an old David Bowie song, "Over the Wall we Go", might fit mine perfectly:

"Nobody's left and the screws are in tears"
or, from the same song,

"Leave them a note saying 'wish you was here'."


Hey, nobody ever said your epitaph had to make sense, did they?

"He was loved more than he knew."

"Gone away, owin' more than he could pay."

"Remember man, as you walk by,
As you are now, so once was I,
As I am now, so shall you be,
Remember this and follow me."

Here's another one, I saw this one in a game once:

I may be dead but I'm also cranky
Get off my grave or I'll give ye a spanky.

I don't want to be in the ground, but rather in a mausoleum. But I think that if I am in the ground all I would want is my name and dates of birth and death.
