Do you think that this means that the government has something to hide? I find it really interesting in spite of never having watched the show that they are talking about, that DVR's are magically deleting ANYTHING from a persons private DVR. Makes me feel a little weird about all the naughty Showtime on demand things I've watched too...

It's interesting. Not sure what would be gained by it. Once a show has aired it's out there. Not a conspiracy type & I certainly don't trust the government but I don't see why they would bother after the fact. And with Ventura's wrestling background he knows how to create drama so that makes me a little suspicious.

Do you think that he's having them deleted? I'm not sure what would be gained by it either...

I'm not very technological but wondering if it's just some kind of glitch & he's capitalizing on it. I remember before the show first aired he acted like his life was in danger. It all seemed a little dramatic.

ahh, see I've never seen his show so I don't know anything about it. I posted the link in another forum and people are talking about rap music and the illuminati and all sorts of things about 911 and stuff...

That is pretty interesting. I am skeptical that if it is really being done, it is by government. If the govt. was taking a position that they don't want it viewed, I am sure they have the power to have pulled the plug from original airings.

This all seems like a really great story that could be used to create publicity for the show.

But it could just be something that snowballed. For example, here, things "disappear" from my DVR all the time...they disappear because the storage gets full and my guy deletes whatever he thinks I don't need! And with this being new, a spouse may think that they can get rid of it because they know it is not among their mate's favorites since they never talked about it. So, if this show got accidentally deleted in homes, and people compared notes on message boards, it could all snowball into something way more than it is.

If TPTB wanted him off the air, he would have been unceremoniously yanked. Still, it is interesting that DVRs aren't recording his episodes, but that could be more a local thing with advertisers and cable systems.
