Basketball Hoop in the Front

One of my neighbors put up a huge basketball hoop in the FRONT of their house, at the end of the driveway on the street. They did this last summer and even then I thought that it looked tacky and congested the street (especially when they were outside playing.) Now with seasonal change and dropped temp., of course they aren't out there playing anymore, but it's STILL there.

Am I wrong to think that this was TOTALLY tacky and inconsiderate on their end? Part of me wants to contact some kind of city ordinance to have them put the pressure on them to move it.

^^ its on the street in front of their house? if it were me, an its causin me inconvenience, or directly affectin me (besides me havin to look at it) then yes do somethin.. but no I would have no problem with them havin that hoop where its at.

If its on their property then there is nothing you can do cat, I have the same thing with the boy next door with his big basketball hoop but its in their driveway right next to my bedroom so you can imagine what I go through in the summer months.

At around 3am I'd dress in all black and go find the biggest brick I could and by the time they woke up . . . NO MORE HOOP!

There may not be anything you can do, other than maybe ask them to put it alongside the house or somewhere less blatant for the winter months?

I can see why you'd be annoyed by it Cat, and it is rude to leave a hoop set up in the front, but unfortunately there's not much you can do about it if it's on their property.
