| Like others said, I don't think it is of the caliber of Superbowl ads. But anyone who thinks this is disrespectful is either taking life too seriously or is just looking for something to bitch about. People who are claiming to be offended are acting as if it is a Bud Light ad! | |

| Years ago I wrote to Pollo Tropical because of a similar disrespectful ad they had using Buddhist Monks who favored their brand of cooked chicken. (not all but most Buddhists are vegetarian)
I've seen Shiva (The multi-armed Hindu diety) portrayed in ads.
These ads are done without any consideration that those are religious misrepresentations. But what the hell, they're only heathen gods, right?
As for the Doritos and Pepsi being used for communion, who's to say? If these had been around during Jesus' time, they may have been the bread & drink at the last supper.
I know the Baptists don't use wine, but use crackers and grape juice. Jesus had to use real wine because without refrigeration even Welches becomes wine in about 3 days time. But the teetotaler Baptists don't drink alcohol (openly). | |
