I have seen a couple interviews with Williams since this video went public. He seems like a guy with a good heart, but I worry that all of this exposure is going to be too much too fast. I hope in ten years he has proven this story to be a true cinderella story.

I think it's a great story and wish him the best of luck. While I don't think he's got "Matinee Idol" looks he's far from being The Elephant Man or only having "a face for radio".

I'm really rooting for this guy to make it. He's been given a wonderful opportunity & could be an inspiration to others that it's never too late & you really can overcome addiction & turn your life around.

Yeah, if sobriety lasts with all the notoriety, maybe Robert Downey Jr. could make a movie about him.

I think this is such a nice story. It's so nice to see someone who is so deserving being given a second chance. He definitely has a talent for radio and I'm glad someone is noticing him. He seems like a really good guy with a warm heart, I wish him all the best!

Very true, Red, but I think with the life he's lead and him getting through it and conquering his addictions, I think he can manage just about anything. The thing I'm worried about is one of these days very soon, a hot-shot celebrity is going to come along and try to involve themselves in this story, thus taking away or shadowing Mr. Williams well-deserved attention. You know how celebrities are, they want to be where the spotlight is.

I don't know what his specifics are and why he was homeless, but here's hoping he has all his faculties together and uses this 1 in a million chance that homeless people just don't get to move forward and keep his life together....

3. Hollywood: Is the next step for the golden voice the silver screen? Williams told Entertainment Tonight that Jack Nicholson would like him to co-star in his upcoming film.
"Jack Nicholson had contacted one of my in-laws who happens to be in
Columbus, Ohio," Williams said "They're supposed to be making a movie
in which Jack is playing opposite a disc jockey, which he would like me
to portray in the movie."

He is now in rehab, via appearances on Dr. Phil. As recent as Sunday, Kraft had not dropped him. All of this is his to lose and I hope that the rehab center's curriculum helps him. After agreeing to go to rehab, he bargained with Dr. Phil to go home to Ohio to see his grandkids for a couple days. A man from the rehab center accompanied him, yet Ted still managed to drink and drug while there.
No matter what, this guy has a long road ahead of him because even if he leaves rehab with sincere intentions, I fear that he may have a couple family members who would revel in his failure.

I don't know quite how to take him at this point. He went from being that sort of an example of how "America loves a comeback" story....seeming humble enough to make it all the more charming....to looking like he wasn't as "golden" as his voice made him seem.
I don't know. Hopefully he gets his shit together before they decide his 15 minutes of fame is up and he's back holding up a sign.

The setback is unfortunate. But I'm still pulling for this guy. It's going to slip away from him fast if he keeps taking these steps back.

I'm pulling for him too, but I'm disappointed in his setback as well. I was hoping he would be a shining example of how not every homeless "bum" is crazy or an addict. That he would be one of the one's who just got dealt an unfortunate circumstance that went over his head, and would completely turn his life around with this second chance. He can still do it, but I'm saddened that it turns out he has an addiction that contributed to where he was.
