i was SO afraid of E.T as a child... thats only thing i know.. but wats weird is i used to carry around an E.T. doll, also thats how my mama got me off the bottle, they told me E.T. took my bottle

This is going to sound silly, but I used to fear the street lights late at night. The posts were tall and the lights were orange. I felt like they were going to come alive and act like hungry, man-eating dinosaurs.

I was very afraid of the KKK. Mom and I saw them at Marquette Park in Chicago a couple times and I was so very afraid of them. I figured they were in the basement, under the bed, in the yard...everywhere.

The dark. Never would I sleep alone in the dark. Had to have a nightlight. Now, I revel in it. Also, this is a little silly....but as a kid, I never like that Young and the Restless theme song. My mother would watch that show and whenever I heard the theme music, I always had this urge to not have my feet on the floor while it was on. I thought it was imperative to not have my feet on the floor when the show came on or something was going to get me later at night if I did.

I was fine in a pool but I would not walk in water (like in a lake) that I couldn't see my feet in after watching Attack of the Crab Monsters.

I was afraid of Satan. I was afraid that if I slept with my legs uncrossed he or a demon would come and rape me in the middle of the night.

Spiders, which still scare me, and clowns, though now I just find them creepy. I used to be scared of the monsters under my bed - lol - would jump off the end of the bed, as far away as I could, so they couldn't grab my ankles.
