From 1980, starring Robert Redford and Yaphet Kotto (Al Giardello from Homicide: Life on the Street), based on a true story of a warden who tried to end the corruption in his prison, and in the end he was driven out by the forces within, but not without something to show for all the hell he and his prisoners endured. Has anybody seen it?
Not one of the better movies made, not one I'd want in my film library, but a good movie, and a couple of interesting tidbits I found out about it are many of the extras in this movie were REAL life ex-cons and prison guards, and that this movie that was released in 1980, took 10 long years to finally make, and I can't help but wonder why.
