I support the troops, but not the war, if that makes sense. Canada's role is different, though, as we're there as peace keepers. I know the work they are doing is good, but every time I see a flag-draped coffin on the tarmac, knowing that coffin will be taking a journey down the Highway of Heroes and, I can't help tearing up ... well - all I want is for our troops to come home safely. Ihave a friend whose son is in the Navy and interested in going to Afghanistan. I pray that our troops will be home before then and that we really will pull out in 2012, as promised.
I believe in our troops and the work they are doing, but I don't believe in the war and haven't believed in it for a very long time now. It's taken too much of a toll.
