What's your favorite font? On my Mac, it's 'Optima,' on my PC it's 'Lucida Sans.'

Palatino and Georgia. In some instances, I like Verdana as well.

All my personal stuff now is written in Arial and even at work I've been converting from Times New Roman to the cleaner font.

However Arial has probs when writing a cap "i" with small "l", such as Ill (ill)

BTW, apparently Arial is the default font here.

I don't know why, but I've always favored Helvetica over Arial, even though they are basically the same.

I tend to like fonts that have round edges. Who else is annoyed by Times/Times New Roman and Courier?

    I like Verdana.

I learned recently that installing extra fonts on a computer uses a lot of memory. Maybe that is common knowledge, but I never knew that, and was very surprised.

I'm most particular to Times New Roman, but I also like Courier because it looks when I used to have a typewriter and wrote everything on it; a bit more of a professional look I've always thought.

Times New Roman is classic (and looks old)

However, Courier has its uses. It is the type of the old manual typewriters.
Courier 10 is the typeface of text - the basic before you make it another font. It is the font I am using right now in this editor - which will turn to Arial when I post it.

It is also structured like an old mechanical typewriter, where each letter has the same amount of space. New computer typeface varies, W and Y are wider than I or J.

With courier I can make columned lists where May is not wider than Jul or Wed is not wider than Tue. I've even made "search-a-word" games using Courier. I haven't found any other typeface that will line up like that.

I used to write in Comic Sans Ms all the time back in the days of AOL. Now I just prefer the Arial.

Verdana is weird because in SOME cases it looks really good but in others it's annoying to see & i hate it's Tahoma cousin. I like Impact for titles. For typing my fav is Cambria.

I have a love/hate relationship with Verdana too. On some screens and documents, it works; on others, it doesn't. Once upon a time I set the main font to this forum as Verdana, and it looked great on my wide screen Mac, but terrible on the standard screen PC. Now it's set as Arial. I figured everyone has and could agree with it.
