MLK day

Today is MLK day; honoring the life and times of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. For me, I have to set aside some time to acknowledge his accomplishments and legacy, because even though it all predates me, personally, if it weren't for him and his efforts, then maybe I wouldn't be here. Maybe my black father and white mother wouldn't have been allowed to marry when they did, and ultimately have me. If not for him, maybe it wouldn't have been permissible some of us to be able to interact with each other. Makes you think.

Very nice sentiment, Chris. Now if only Dr. Kings message of peace, tolerance and goodwill towards our fellow man could be observed (and heeded) a little more frequently throughout the year, maybe western society wouldn't still be so polarized.
