The Term "Rake" was widely used in Victorian England, especially amongst the upper class, it described a man that had many female companions or conquests, usually he would use them and then dump them and move on to the next. It was higly immoral to have the reputation of a Rake back then.

By the description, they SHOULD HAVE accepted "Ho" as an answer.

I still think "hoe" is more effective.
