After watching today's show I think TPTB are setting us up big time for the return of Roger Howarth. In what capacity I don't know. Tea told Todd that he is Todd now not that other guy which maybe means that we are not going to lose TSJ but that other thing is coming back in some shape or form. Blair saying how good looking he was???? He was one of the most unatractive men on the show with his long scraggly hair and messy goatee he looked more like a homeless man. I guess we have to wait and see when the bomb is going to drop.

I don't think any of this is just a tease, because they are laying it on way too thick. When was the last time the show was so deliberate in showing the image of a past casting on a character ? This is the same show that went out and cast a fake young Cristian and a fake young Jessica to have them reenact an old script of Cristian and Jessica from when they were teens, EVEN THOUGH both characters were around and the original footage still exists! This is the same show that hasn't shown any old Clint & Echo flashbacks from with Clint Ritchie (ok they showed a picture of old Clint when Viki was marrying Charlie, but I don't think it was at all a threat to JvD's job since Ritchie had died) was playing Clint, but have ran old flashbacks of Echo with Viki, Bo and Dorian.

They wouldn't be continually throwing Roger Howarth's likeness at us if they weren't trying to bring him back. Soaps go out of their way to shy away from reminding the audience that someone else used to play a currently recast role. Something IS up and I don't like it one bit. If Howarth comes back, he better be a twin or some other character who just HAPPENS to look similar to oldTodd, because I won't keep watching if his return means the pink slip for TSJ or a demotion out of the Todd character.

Tony - I am SO glad to hear you say that! I don't find RH's Todd at ALL good looking. In fact, I found him QUITE unattractive. ITA about that long, scraggly hair.

If they bring back RH as Todd's twin, and keep TSJ as Todd, I could handle that but if they give TSJ the pink slip and won't re-sign his contract, it'll be Bye-Bye OLTL for me. I won't sit by and see Trevor replaced. Besides, I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before RH thinks he has a better offer and is gone. I remember hearing about his tantrums and complaints when things weren't going his way.

I so hope I am wrong too, I could not stand to see that thing take over the role of Todd again, I did not like him in the original role as it was and I took to TSJ right away as Todd. The only thing we can do is sit and wait and see how they do this, I don't even want him around as a Twin of Todd. What are they waiting for his hair to grow long again and his beard to fill in before bringing him back on the show? I shudder to think of it.

I imagine that it must be an ugly spectacle at other OLTL forums right now. I'm almost certain that RH will be coming back too, because this is all too heavy handed and deliberate. The show wouldn't be throwing his face around like this for them to not be planning something; like JB said, soaps do not like to remind viewers that someone else played the role before their current actor. The silence over the issue when SON announced his return last fall was deafening; none of the other soap spoiler sites posted the same thing, as if they had been instructed not to. I dread the idea of Howarth coming back to reprise Todd, and TSJ being revealed as a fake, but it's like a trainwreck and I'm not ready to look away just yet.

The sad part is that even if fans write in (which I have done) they just ignore you and do as they please. I am really adamant this time, I do not want to see this guy back on the show in any shape or form.

You usually read what is happening to an actor after they leave a soap or in this case the soap was cancelled. I have read stuff on other ATWT actors and what they are up to but not one word about him and that leads me to believe he is going to pop up when we least expect.

Yeah - it really is all VERY suspicious. I saw what GH did with Tyler Christopher and with Jonathan Jackson, so I wouldn't put it past OLTL to do the same thing. What they did with Tyler Christopher was as disgusting as the whole "Real Greenlee" campaign. They were in negotiations with Soltin Scott/Stephen Martinez but were secretly courting Tyler Christopher back and once he agreed, they ousted Coltin/Stephen faster than you could turn around. He was basically told not to show up at work the following week - he was out.

They did the same thing with Elaine Princi (ex-Dorian). Her contract was nearing its expiration date and they were renegotiating with her to have her stay on, but then Robin Strasser put it out there that she was available and interested in coming back, and they dropped Princi like a potato. The show I'm sure knows how popular TSJ in and that his being fired for the sake of RH coming back would create a huge backlash. I have a sinking suspicion that if they can get RH back and decide to make him Todd, they will try and "placate" TSJ with "fringe-benefits" (maybe a pay slight increase, a hair more creative control over the whatever role he continues to play and a more flexible work schedule for him to pursue other interests) in exchange for him "settling" for going back to playing Walker or whatever.

Personally though it makes no difference to me because if RH is brought back and if he becomes Todd again, I have zero interest in seeing TSJ get some consolation prize role. I will just quit watching. It's Todd or nothing for TSJ AFAIC. Not interested in any other scenario. RH was the one that quit (after a decade of constantly jumping on and off ship whenever the mood struck) and then TSJ comes in and plays Todd with the most CONSISTENCY that the role EVER had (he hasn't left not once since 2003), and they have the nerve to take back the other fickler guy. I just won't stand for that. They'll lose a viewer in me.

Contrary to how it might sound, I really don't dislike RH. I was even a fan of his and his Todd, but he quit. He jumped ship and my loyalty shifted to his successor. I may tolerate RH coming back, but not as Todd. TSJ has earned the character. RH should have to accept the alternate situation.

See - RH was the main reason I refused to watch OLTL - I HATED Todd at the time. I watched a talk show that devoted the first 20 minutes to soaps and the host would show clips and talk about the soaps. Starr intrigued me because of how feisty she was but RH was the reason I wouldn't watch. I didn't care for him - the long hair, the character, nothing at all appealed to me. I remember Cindy (the host) talking about the games he played. She didn't put it as games, but how he was coming and going all the time - he was gone and then he was back, he was gone and then he was back. I only checked out OLTL long after he was gone, when TSJ had been revealed to be Todd.

I'll show TPTB the same loyalty I showed GH when they dropped Chad Brannon and the same loyalty I showed AMC when they dropped Jeff Branson. I have no interest in seeing TSJ replaced. I'm so close to the edge with OLTL already and this will push me right over. If they bring back RH as someone other than Todd, I'll deal, but if he's Todd and TSJ is out, I'll be out too.
