Would you have a problem with government funded religious schools, or should all schools that are religious-based be private?

I would have a huge problem with government funded religious schools. They should absolutely be private only.

I don't think I'd trust a religious school run by government.

They should not be state funded. That would open up a can of worms. What would a school have to do to get funding? That is too open ended.

Yeah that sort of establishes a government sponsored religion. Should be unconstitutional.CeCe wrote:I would have a huge problem with government funded religious schools. They should absolutely be private only.

Government shouldn't publicly support anything of a religious nature, that includes schools.

This debate has been going on for some time and apparently was really big in the 19th century when the Catholic Church was pushing for gov't funding.
