Blu-ray Players

Who has a Blu-ray disc player....and what's the difference between it and DVD? I'm talking quality/picture/feature wise.

hhmmm never had a blu-ray player..an dvd player i did have broke.. so sorry cant help u out cuz i have neither..

but according to wat i hear..blu-rays are much better than dvds

The major difference is that the blu-ray makes the picture look more 'life like'. But quite frankly, the only movies that would really take advantage of blu ray would be action or sci-fi flicks. A regular flick on blu ray you might not like because the picture doesn't look like a movie. It look likes someone shot it with a video camera. The detail is that distinct.

Blu-ray is awesome if you have a flatscreen and the sound I think is better.

Detail is impeccable, you have to have a flat screen TV to appreciate it.

Don't have a Blu-Ray and am not going to get one until I have a flat-screen TV. Waiting until mine dies and then I'll get an HD TV.

I resent that this innovation came so soon after the DVD movement. The least they could do was set it up to allow DVDs and Blu-ray discs to be played in the same machines.
