Re: Highschool yearbooks
I only have one, my senior year 1963. Even did a demographic of what we wished for and the majority of girls were going to be a nurse or secretary, guys were going to be military or engineers. I was going to be a "writer." Well, I have been published so guess part of that is true. However, didn't consider drop out, doper, bisexual horndog, pornographer back in HS.

I only bought the book from my senior year and I still have it. My college year book too.

Re: Highschool yearbooks
No. I gave all my yearbooks and awards to my Mom, including my elementary and junior high stuff. I have no sentimentality when it comes to my old schools. They're just trash. The public school system is a toilet.

Re: Highschool yearbooks
Maybe now, but in the early '60s there was some good times having all that shit crammed into our heads.MandyPerfumeGirl wrote:... I have no sentimentality when it comes to my old schools. They're just trash. The public school system is a toilet.
I enjoyed the learning experience actually - some stuff on the cutting edge of our knowledge at the time, tho much of it now archaic and irrelevant. (You don't stop at school - education is a lifelong pursuit).
I didn't have too many friends, was not in a clique, mostly a nerd and had a couple nerd guys I hung out with - but was artistically creative, started writing creatively and expressing myself as an individual. It was an awakening period of my life, and I still have the pics of all my classmates - those I knew and those I just saw in whatever capacity.
I have no contact with any of them these days and at this age wonder how many are still around. But it is a nice, personal historical document.
Besides, my 1963 Yearbook from Ritenour High has this picture of our sexually innocent time.

Re: Highschool yearbooks
I have my yearbooks from freshman and senior year. I can't recall what happened to my 10th grade yearbook, and I don't think I bothered to buy one for junior year.
