| Do you think someone is owed an inheritance from their wealthy parent(s)? When it comes to the working class, this may not come up, but when someone is the descendant of someone who is wealthy, often times it is more than implied that having their share of their parents estate is a right. | |

| Nobody HAS to will their belongings to anybody if they don't want to. Naturally you would think that the parents should, like Joan Crawford should've left her kids her money because what was the bitch going to do with it?, but it all comes down to what the individual wants to do. If they think their kids are just twiddling their thumbs waiting for them to die so they can inherit the money, I wouldn't give them the satisfaction either, I'd leave it to an animal charity or something if I thought my kids were like that. | |

| ^^ Inheritances should never be owed to the children. Sure, it would be a nice gesture, but some wealthy parents might actually want their kids to go out and work for their money instead of everything being handed to them. Like I said, it would be a nice gesture, giving your babies some security, but it should never be owed - it's the person's money, they should do with it what they want. | |

| Yeah, like Anna Nicole Smith marrying a 90-year-old with both feet in the grave. His son thot he was owed it rather than the gold digger, but legally she got her husband's cash. And the old geezer was competent to know what he was doing - so he prolly had issues with the son anyhow.
I'm the working class referred to and don't expect any inheritance nor is there anyone to inherit anything from me.
My bank accounts are in trust for my stepdaughter, who is supposed to see that I am cremated and that my apartment is cleaned out. If she doesn't do that, my bottom line is: "It Ain't My Problem." | |

| Nope - the parents have the right to do what they want with THEIR money. Inheritances are nice, but not owed. No child should assume that he or she will get mommy and daddy's money. | |

| I think that it'd be nice if someone had a ton of money and raised their child to expect a certain standard of living to leave some money to their kids...But it's not OWED to them. | |

| It's not owed at all. If they choose to leave anything to them it's a kind gesture but not an obligation. I've heard stories of adult children throwing a fit because the parents are spending THEIR inheritance. That kind of disrespect would probably cause me to deliberately omit them. Nothing is "theirs" until it's given to them. | |
