I love this movie, SO funny.

I think that was Kevin Bacon's first movie. According to the 25th Anniversary DVD, Boone and Katy get back together. Yay. Did you ever see Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983)? In the segment with Vic Morrow that John Landis directed (and literally got away with murder) Morrow’s character is transported to Viet Nam and at one point you can hear an American soldier say something like, “I told you we shouldn’t have fragged Lt. Neidermeyer.”

Yeah, I've seen the Twilight Zone movie and know about that whole sordid mess, but on another note, in another John Landis movie, The Stupids from 1996, Tom Arnold's character, Stanley Stupid, somehow or other keeps narrowly and obliviously escaping attempted hits on his life by Colonel Neidermyer, also played by Mark Metcalf. So funny.


And then there's the matter of the two Twisted Sister music videos from the 1980s, We're Not Gonna Take It, where he's in complete Neidermyer pain-in-the-ass mode with his own son, including the 'A PLEDGE PIN ON YOUR UNIFORM?' line, and then TS comes in and continously throws him out the window and bashes him with the door, and then the I Wanna Rock video where he's the teacher in the high school and spends the whole video trying to blow up TS, then goes to the principal who is FLOUNDER, who sprays him with a seltzer bottle and says 'Oh boy is this great!' SO funny.

My wife or daughter were watching One Tree Hill the other night and I was listening with one ear while on the computer. Peter Riegert has a small role as a college professor and he tells one of his students, "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son."
