    Gene Roddenberry.

I will always wonder which alternate universe Star Trek would have gone, had he lived more into The Next Generation.

If you count Matin Luther King as a celebrity. Thurmon Munson. Jerry Garcia. They do seem to come in 3s.

Smile. Although he passed before I was born, his life and his legacy has had a major affect on me to the point that I just became obsessed him. Such a beautiful and wonderful human being. Supertalented. He was a prophet. I'd give my right arm to be able to see him live or have a conversation with him. That damn cancer. *sighs*

And the real kick in the head is that he got shot, and the bullet went right past his heart, and he survived that but he died of cancer.

Heath Ledger...I don't really know why, but it really bothered me. I think because he had a baby and was the same age as me and I really thought that he was talented. Still when I see something with him in it, it makes me sad.

It was such a shock & the loss of an immensely talented man. Still miss him.

I don't know of any celebrity death that had a "profound affect" on me, but Pac's death left me speechless. He had been shot before and experienced a few near miss situations reported in the media, but as much as much he rapped about death and dying, it was stunning when it finally happened.

This probably seems lame, but it was Chris Farley. I wasn't a huge fan by any means, but I was at an age where no other celebs had died that I gave two shits about. He was the first that I did like that died so young. I recall me and all of my friends talking about it a lot for a long time.

My mother was upset when he died too, she still goes on about it's a shame that he died when he was still young and he was so talented.

Speaking of Chris Farley SNL, I was upset when Phil Hartman was killed. Mainly because of the gruesome way the whole thing played out.
