Senior, not Junior (The Wolf Man). Probably best known as The Phantom of the Opera but he was in some other absolutely chilling films. The Unknown, for example, where he plays an ‘armless” circus knife thrower. It was written and directed by Tod Browning (Freaks) with whom Chaney made some of the best horror films, silent or with sound. Give me these kinds of movies over the bloody slasher flicks today. I think he only made one “talkie” before he died and was Browning’s first choice to play Dracula.

Re: Lon Chaney
I LOVED him in The Unknown, that's been one of my favorite movies since I was 13. And yes, his talking movie was the 1930 remake of his 1925 movie The Unholy Three, which was written by Tod Robbins who also wrote Spurs which became Freaks and directed by Tod Browning, AND, I don't know about the remake but the '25 Unholy Three also had Harry Earles who was Hans the midget in Freaks.

I haven't seen all of the Unholy Three but I do like what I've seen of it, three criminals posing as a baby, a grandmother, and I don't know what, to commit robberies, it's been a while but I thought Lon Chaney looked very convincing dressed up as an old grandmother type.

I saw Junior in the Wolfman, loved it and I also saw Junior in a midnight movie called "The Indestructible Man" it was kind of bizarre.

Re: Lon Chaney
I remember The Indestructile Man. How long ago did you see it Tony? It's been more than 40 years but I still remember it. He was also Son of Dracula. he went by the name Count Alucard . Check out his pop's stuff if you get the chance and anything else by Tod Browning.
