| Do you ever get a head rush? I sometimes do when I stand up, I think I may almost faint!
It just happened to me now and I didn't even stand up though, I was just sitting here and all of the sudden my face felt all tingly and I got all wobbly and my head felt fuzzy and this weird throbbing sensation and everything got blurry for a minute...It's such a strong sensation...I wonder what causes it?

| Last week when I was fighting the flu, and barely eating, when I went to stand up I like to fall down. Was very disoriented. | |

| Yes it happens to me sometimes when I stand up and like you said its a weird throbbing sensation in my ears mostly and it sounds like everything is going whoosh whoosh. It passes in like a minute but I have never passed out from it. I don't know what causes it but its not a pleasant feeling. | |

| I have that feeling whenever I try to get up too fast. Not really sure what causes it, but for me it's kind of a dizzying feeling, like I should get my balance before I fall over. | |

| I just read a lot about it, it's a sudden drop in blood pressure and can be caused by a bunch of different things...Probably in my case dehydration because I haven't been drinking enough.
I really don't like it! It's almost like getting the wind knocked out of you!

| It's usually caused by the disruption in the flow of blood to your head (and therefore to your brain.) | |

| I really don't like when that happens. Especially when I am out in public because I really fear passing out in public. | |

I don't know if it's ever happened to me in public! But when I was assisting my first oral surgery, it was a tissue graft and I passed out...so embarrassing.

| It happens often to me in public because it is so stuffy in stores and stuff. Were you an oral surgery assistant? I was a dental assistant when I was in college. | |

I was a dental assistant but I did an externship at an oral surgery office.

I was a dental assistant but I did an externship at an oral surgery office. Oh, I see. I was a pediatric dental assistant, so there was never oral surgery, that was referred out. Except for baby teeth. One time the dentist did a simple wisdom extraction, and that wasn't bad, and she took out two of my bicuspids before I got my braces.
