To Kill a Mockingbird Empty
PostSubject: To Kill a Mockingbird   To Kill a Mockingbird EmptyWed Feb 23, 2011 12:27 pm

By show of hands, who's read this one? hi there!

I actually have a funny story about my experience with it...of course, I NEVER got it in school, so I got it from the library to read in my own time...the first night I started reading it, I later went into a teen chatroom and started chatting it up with somebody, and they brought up the book first and I said 'that's funny because I just started reading it', and they didn't believe me, they thought I was lying so I relayed the details I could remember from the first chapter or so, and that convined them because I don't think the description I gave you could make up.

It was a very good book, and for me, above all else I was just relieved at the end that Scout didn't do what girls like her do in every other book and turn into a girly girl...I liked that at the end her aunt, when getting her something to put on, didn't go for a dress, got her her overalls to put on, that was a nice touch, I liked that.

Who hasn't read it is a better question.

Going by this over-abundant turnout... blank stare @ you kind of makes you wonder.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Yes, I've read it. Tremendous book. If you're going to be a one hit wonder as an author, this is a pretty good book to be remembered for.

Great book. I haven't read it nearly ten years, we read it in school. I have a copy - I should really read it again!
