The To Kill A Mockingbird thread got me thinking about this. has anyone ever seen the movie or read the book? I'll probably add something on the Book Chamber but about the movie...
If you don't know, it's based on Capote's "non-fiction" novel about the murder of the Clutters, a family of four in Kansas at the hands of two ex-cons, Perry Smith and Dick Hickock and their subsequent trial and execution. Robert Blake, before he achieved infamy in the OJ-like case of his wife's murder, was actually excellent as Smith. If you look up pictures of the real Dick Smith, the resemblance is startling. Because much of the filming was on some the actual locations, some of the townspeople were a little taken aback too.
