| Charlie Sheen is an attention getting asshole, on a radio interview he said he did a lot of drugs, more drugs than any human body can handle but his heart is special, it will never give out! DUH you shithead you forgot your father had a Heart Attack while he was filming Apocalypse Now and what was Martin Sheen like in his early 40's? I say stop with the headlines promoting this drug digesting pervert and just let him kill himself if thats what he wants to do. | |

| A train wreck that man is. If his heart was that special, he wouldn't look so terrible. Sheen looks like he's his fathers age. He's like Mel Gibson, just without the antisemitism. | |

- After weeks listening to
him rant and rave, after he slapped them with a $100 million lawsuit, could CBS and Warner Bros. actually want Charlie Sheen back?
Maybe. Today, multiple media outlets reported that the network and the studio have offered Sheen the "Two and a Half Men" gig they fired him from earlier this month.
According to HollywoodLife.com, Sheen's talks with CBS rival Fox about a possible late-night show prompted CBS to try and win him back. RadarOnline.com reported that CBS president and CEO Les Moonves has been talking with executives at Warner Bros. and series creator Chuck Lorre about finding a way to work with Sheen again.
Representatives for Sheen, CBS and Warner Bros. declined ABCNews.com's requests for comment.
"Two and a Half Men" went on hiatus in January following Sheen's hospitalization and return to rehab. Sheen publicly slammed Lorre, Warner Bros. and CBS in a series of TV and radio interviews, claiming they prevented him from returning to work.
Earlier this month, Sheen's lawyer, Martin Singer, filed a $100 million lawsuit on behalf of Sheen and the "Two and a Half Men" cast and crew alleging a conspiracy among Warner Bros. and Lorre to shut down the show. Sheen may have suffered a setback last week: A dispute-resolution service reportedly ruled that its arbitrator can settle Lorre and Warner Bros.' issues with Sheen, meaning that the actor won't get the media-frenzy of a trial that could have helped his case.
Regardless of how lawsuit goes, CBS and Warner Bros. stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars if "Two and a Half Men" doesn't return to the air. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. could say goodbye to $250 million in domestic syndication revenue and CBS could lose millions more in advertising revenue.
Meanwhile, Sheen hasn't taken back any of the not-so-kind words he had for his former bosses (or "trolls," in his words).
Minutes after CBS and Warner Bros. fired him on March 7, Sheen released his statement to TMZ.com:
"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at [expletive] again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension." (Some of the insults in Sheen's statement were presumably meant for Lorre.)
Since 2003, Sheen had starred in "Two and a Half Men" as Charlie Harper, a playboy who mimicked Sheen's real-life persona. Last year, he reportedly inked a deal to make $2 million per episode.
Sheen has taken up multiple jobs since his firing. He's building his online brand by tweeting -- as one of Ad.ly's celebrity tweeters, he could make $1 million a year with sponsored tweets -- and dispensing his life philosophies on a web show, "Sheen's Korner."
In April, he'll launch a national tour dubbed "My Violent Torpedo of Truth." According to TMZ.com, he could pocket $7 million for the multi-city gig.
I wonder what the show would be like if he came back... Source: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/cbs-charlie-sheen-back/story?id=13187609

| ^^^ That's why I said I think he's just fucking with ya'll. Okay, he maybe a little touched.....but he made that show. Two and a Half Men is nothing without him. Frankly, I don't see anyone replacing him who will do as good of a job as him. And he knows that. Of course if he cleaned up his act and apologize, CBS would take him back. He makes them millions of dollars. | |

| I'm beginning to think that this was just a big ass PR stunt, like Ny said. I have no doubt that Sheen is nuts, but it's all being marketed. If 2 and a Half Men comes back for another season, with Sheen, the season premiere episode will undoubtedly be huge in terms of viewership. | |

SOURCES CONFIRM: Ashton Kutcher Will Join 'Two and a Half Men' 8:07 PM 5/12/2011 by Matthew Belloni, Kim Masters
The actor is putting final touches on a deal to replace Charlie Sheen on television's No. 1 comedy.
Ashton Kutcher appears to have won the Two and a Half Men sweepstakes.
Two sources close to the deal-making tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actor is putting the final touches on a deal to replace Charlie Sheen as the star of TV’s No. 1 comedy. CBS, studio Warner Bros. and Kutcher’s reps at CAA declined to comment on the situation but a deal is said to be all but signed. The exact dollar figure he will be paid is not known but a source says Kutcher is getting a “huge payday” to join the hit sitcom.
The deal came together quickly in the wake of Hugh Grant passing on the opportunity to join the show. Now sources say Men creator Chuck Lorre has crafted a storyline to introduce Kutcher in a way that satisfies the network and studio. “It’s really funny,” says one source. “People are going to love it.”
Broadcasting & Cable reported Thursday that Kutcher’s name was surfacing as a possible Sheen replacement. The actor, who starred in the winter hit No Strings Attached, would be taking first regular series gig since catapulting to stardom on Fox’s That 70’s Show. He also executive produced the hit MTV hidden-camera series Punk’d, among others.
Kutcher brings a youthful fan base to the CBS show, as well as a big online profile with 6.7 million Twitter followers, which could help CBS promote the show.
"Chuck's really happy," another source says.
For his part, Kutcher is remaining silent except for a cryptic message he wrote on Twitter: “I'm starting to become convinced that people put my name in articles just to improve their SEO or hoping I'll tweet it.”
Sheen was fired from Men in early March, after a weeks-long media circus that had the actor attacking everything from Alcoholics Anonymous to Lorre.
He then launched a Web series, Sheen's Korner, in which he continued his rant against his former bosses, and embarked on a nationwide tour, My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option, which kicked off in early April with a disastrous show in Detroit. The monthlong tour proved to be hit or miss, with some crowds booing the star and walking out mid-show, while others gave him standing ovations.
At some tour stops, he expressed his desire to return to Men, even saying he would apologize to get his old job back.
The tour ended earlier this month in Seattle, but Sheen recently announced that he was going to continue the tour in Australia and Europe.

| Good choice! I like Ashton, better in a movie or TV show, even in his Nikon commercials, than in the media hanging out with Demi.
The movie Valentine's Day on HBO was better than I thought and he was sweet and believable in it.

| I just hope no one expects Ashton to be just like Charlie, like he is supposed to do a Charlie impersonation.
They will be reworking the premise, like in Cheers, where it became a whole different show when Kirstie Alley took over for Shelley Long.
That is actually when it works best, when they discard the old show and start over. When they just try to carry on with the same tone, new character and actor, it doesn't work as well.

| So are they planning to have him take over his role (like Darrin 1/Darrin 2…Aunt Viv 1/Aunt Viv 2) or are they writing out Sheen's character and creating a new role for Kutcher to fill? | |

| I'm thinking Charlie will have run off with a stripper or something at the beginning of the season. I don't think they will kill the character off. Ashton does a certain type of character fairly well & that's what I'm expecting to see. It's actually not a bad choice. A lot better than that ridiculous Hugh Grant idea that was floating around. | |

| I didn't take it really seriously that Hugh Grant was really going to move to the US, and take over a role in a sitcom.
He would be too expensive, and that was the upside of getting rid of Charlie Sheen, he was very high paid. The show could generate less revenue, but it would be less expensive to produce, so the profit margin could be the same, or better. Hugh would have negated that.

- Charlie Sheen: Ashton's Going Down With the Ship
5/13/2011 10:50 AM PDT by TMZ Staff
Charlie Sheen delivered the ultimate back-handed compliment to Ashton Kutcher, telling TMZ he's talented but the show will tank.
Charlie tells TMZ, "Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer ... Oh wait, so am I!!"
Charlie continues, taking a shot at the show, saying, "Enjoy the show America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB." Essentially, Charlie is saying the age group that supported him is going to tune out.
Charlie adds, "Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there." Of course, Charlie is referring to his nemesis, "Men" creator and Executive Producer Chuck Lorre.

It's the last he deserves, given his tantrums and childish behaviour. I still don't think I'll watch the show, though. First season was okay but it's not really my style.

| I heard this on the radio this morning before I got up. Looks like they're making a point. Have to say it surprises me. I figured they would just have the character run off somewhere which would leave the door open. Looks like they're closing it, locking it, putting up duct tape, plastic sheeting & barricades. | |

| I don't watch this show but isn't it a little strange to keep on the "half man" thing since the kid is pretty much grown up now? Shouldn't they just have gotten a new kid (elevating the half man to a "full man") to keep the title accurate? | |
