Do you mind the black bands at the top and bottom of your TV screen while watching films that have been transfered from their original widescreen aspect ratio to a standard width format or do you insist on seeing a full screen on your TV via "pan and scan"? I think this only affects older films. Knowing that I'm seeing the images that the film maker intended, and not actually missing parts of a scene, I prefer the letterbox format.

Re: Letterbox
I hate letter box...there are some people who have trouble watching the movie because the big black bars that take up 1/2 of the screen are so distracting. For some movies like Rebel Without a Cause I don't think it's possible to see them full screen, but full screen is always my first pick.
