To those who aren't into sports

Is there any particular reason why sports isn't your thing, and how well did you function in P.E. class when you were in school?

i used to play sports up until middle school, i was pretty good at basketball and enjoyed volleyball, but once i got into high school , forget bout it, guess i just lost interest, and P.E. in high school was a very easy class to ditch

I'm not big into sports cuz my dad was/is into them big time and used to dominate the house and TV with them when i was little but didnt bother to play them with me or make them seem like a fun thing to do. He made them so negative in my eyes that aside from the occasional ballgame i never latched on to them.

The concept of it just seems really unappealing to me. lol I mean seriously, why WOULD I be into sports? lol

As for PE class, our PE class was kind of a joke. But I got by.

My mom hated sports because my father was so into it, on TV that is, he never played anything while married to her. He would refuse to go anyplace if there was a game on. It didn't take much to get my Mom mad, so I learned to not like sports, unless I wanted her screaming and wrath directed at me!!!

I don't hate it on its own. So many people like it, they should be happy. I have my own things. I love Dancing With the Stars, which so many people say is garbage. If they like sports, which I don't, why can't I like something too?

I just don't have the time to follow any of the games on TV save the yearly Super Bowl and also have no time to learn who's who, what's what, what the stats are, when overtime is, and who gives a damn over who wins. I also don't care to read about the scores or about the local teams in the town's newspaper, and honestly think a sports section is one of the biggest wastes of the newspaper's time.


And as for school, being homeschooled there was no phys ed. class but I played baseball, basketball, football and racquet ball and was good at all of them.

The only sports I can tolerate is baseball and I am not a die hard fan. I used to play with the neighborhood kids growing up and I enjoyed it. I did good in PE in school but my interests were more my own hobbies. I was always more interested in technology than sports. I have 3 older brothers that are die hard sports fans so you can imagine the teasing I got.

I forgot to say how I was sportswise as a kid. I was hopeless, terrible in PE. I couldn't touch my toes without bending my knees. I was always picked last.

Outside school, I was a good swimmer and diver. Makes sense, I am a Scorpio, a water sign.
