Guys at the Bar…

Why is it every time I go to the bar with my girlfriend, it never fails that a guy will approach with some very tacky and transparent 'game,' trying to get me leave with him. Last night a friend and me went out, and this dude approaches me with very bad conversation and practically had his hands down my pants. When I told him that I wasn't interested and had a BF, it bounced off him like stale Raid on a cockroach. He kept right on talking until finally I moved.

So my questions is:

Why do guys think that every woman at the bar is there to hook up?

I go to the bar to have a good time: chat it up with friends, have a few drinks, and to maybe dance. I already have a guy, and I tell them that and yet they still try. I have no problems dancing with guys, but that is as far as it goes.

I know I can't be the only one this happens to.

My guess? The guys at the bar have already drank their brain cells away.

Probably cause your a hot looking woman and they just want to have a chance to score. You know how animalistic guys can be when they see a hot woman. It never occurs to some of these bird brained men that women like to go out and have a good time and are not necessarily looking to hook up with anyone. You do the right thing by telling them you have a man already this way they can't say you led them on.

Yes I do, and here I am acting brand new. The pomposity of it just never quite gets old and remains a little shocking. I feel like telling them, "you better go browse what's out on the curb, bruh."

Nhaiyel, I'm sorry you seem to be like flypaper for freaks. I'm pretty sure that some of the questions you asked were rhetorical, "Why do men...?" You know it's because some men think with their little brain. It sounds like you try to handle it with class but no matter what you do, some jerks will always have the attitude that a whore is a woman who sleeps with everyone and a bitch is a woman who will sleep with everyone except them. NO WAY I'm saying you're the former but that won't stop these assholes from thinking you're the latter. If they can't take the hint after you politely decline, just let them know how little you appreciate their unwanted attention:

A) Because that's were guys go to pick up chicks, B) because if you are an attractive girl out at a bar without your "man", the assumption is that she is there to "hook up" as well, and C) because 9 times out of 10 this happens to be TRUE. You are simply girl #10 who goes to a bar without her man just to "hang out" with her girlfriends.

You're not the only one that happens to, but again, I'd say you are in the minority. In addition, most guys are going to assume that an attractive girl who's out at a bar without a man, especially if they dance with you, is there to "hook up". Most guys wouldn't be comfortable with their girl going out to bar and dancing with random guys at a bar. Does your man know that you even do that? Would you feel comfortable telling him?

As annoying as it might be for women to get hit on by random losers at bars, part of you loves it. Admit it.

Because that's what you're *supposed* to do at the bar. Hook up. Sometimes, it's just flirting. Sometimes they just don't give a shit. Sometimes, it adds fuel to the fire by telling them you're already taken. They see it as a challenge.

i dunno Nhayiel, i would say use it to your advantage, get some free drinks hell thats wat i do, i dunno but then again i am single an able to flirt a little.

but then again that can lead to unwanted attention, "suckas" end up following you to next bar.

in end, look on bright side, try to take it as compliment
