I LOVE that movie, did you know there are 2 versions of it? American and British, and I prefer the British version in general though I think the American ending was pretty good too but I like the extra details they used in the British one.

I don't think I've ever seen the British version, novastar 6. Is it the same title? Anyway, yeah Tony the 1953 American version was pretty scary. The creepy music when the people go to the sand pit!

Yes it's the same title, so far as I know the only way to see both versions is on the DVD, I don't know if there's more than one kind of DVD but the one we have does have both the US version and the British version. It's the same movie, but when it came over to England they thought it was too short and added some scenes at the observatory and didn't like the original ending (it was a dream, oh no it's starting again) and changed it.

I always try to think WHAT that music sounds like because I would swear I've heard it somewhere else before...to me it almost sounds like something from the Wizard of Oz or something, but I don't know.

I am looking on Amazon now, I don't see any British Version? Is the British Version named Invaders from Mars as well?

Special edition, that's what you want to look for, you're looking for a DVD with this on the cover:
And yes it's the same actors, same everything, the only difference is the British version added dialogue at the observatory and changed the way the film ended, but everything else is the same.

Cool. I never saw it before, but since several members of my Chamber family think so highly of it, I'll check it when it airs next. Thanks Wads.

Make sure its the original one from 1953, the re-make really sucked.

Re: Invaders from Mars
Well I got my copy and I watched the British version, I like the American one better. They could have restored the movie for the 50th anniversary, the quality was pretty bad.
