| Do you like it when people refer to you, not by your first name, but instead by your family name?

| Eh, I got a teacher that does that. It's kind of weird. But I guess I don't MIND. However, more casual relationships, I'd prefer something else. | |

| I guess I don't. Unless you're not someone formal, I don't see why you would. | |

| Doesn't bother me. I like it a whole lot less when strangers in a business setting (like sales people) presume to call me by my first name. | |

| Doesn't matter to me either way. I got used to being called by my last name when I was in the military, but I don't have a preference.
You know what bugs me? That my doctor calls me by my first name, but I'm supposed to address him/her as "Doctor So-and-so." Same thing with professors at school.

| If i interact with them on a formal and infrequent basis then it doesn't matter, but when it comes to people like teachers and bosses it always feels kinda patronizing to me. | |

Mr. _________... No, I don't like it at all. If someone outside of a business/professional reason calls me "Mr. Stone," I tell them he died (my dad). If anyone knows me even casually, they can call me "Shale."

Mr. _________ Miss/Ms./Mrs. ___________ At this point I'm pretty much used to it. In the military, in an official capacity, it's customary to refer to someone by their rank, then their last name. In a non-official capacity, people often call you simply by your last name.
