Or someone who you think is a hero but doesn't get as much credit as they deserve?

Mine is Ralph Nader, I think he's done amazing things for every single American, if it weren't for him we wouldn't have seat belts or consumer protection laws...

but all anyone knows him for is his failed political campaigns.

Tina Turner. Sure people know of her as the singing legend, but I look at the domestic violence she endured for years and how she overcame it. Her bravery is humbling.

I don't know their names. People who do our unpleasant jobs like working in animal shelters, hospices, centers for battered woman and public defenders. People like that.

Do NOT watch that movie and think it's an accurate depiction of what really happened in that marriage between Ike and Tina. That story is fabricated and Tina herself admitted to it.

I like What's Love Go To Do With It, but mainly for its comedy factor. Laurence Fishburne was funny as hell in it to me. Ike was mad as hell when that movie came out because some of the events that happened in the movie just did not happen at all. The completely fabricated it to make him look like a monster. It's Hollywood. Filled with story writers. That's what they do. Tina came out years later and admitted that movie wasn't fair to Ike. But of course, while they were slinging the mud at him.....she wasn't going to do it then.

He did go upside her head and he was on drugs, but that still doesn't mean the story wasn't fabricated.

Anais Nin. A lot of people today haven't heard of her today and she was a brilliant Surrealist writer back in the '30's and '40's. I don't think she was even all that famous when she was alive. A hidden talent for sure.

Don't know about her surrealism but she was one of the first female porn writers of the 1920s a genre dominated by men. Her stuff was good too.
