about 18 months a long time ago...I was on pelvic and bed rest for 18 weeks with the twins, then it was another 8 weeks after that so 26 weeks in my recent past. That's like 6 months I guess. But that was PELVIC REST so there could be no funny business going on at ALL down there, and I was laying in bed with nothing to do all day and night. It was harder than the 18 months for sure.

If your definition of abstinence includes masturbation, about 2-3 weeks. If you're talking about 
then about 9 months when my wife was pregnant. She had some problems in the beginning so her doctor advised against it.

I tried total abstinence with no masturbation. Lasted less than a week. 
Then settled for celibacy or no sex with other ppl for about 5 years (it was a spiritual exercise).
Finally, a gorgeous girl 11 years younger than me ended that foolishness.
