too much caffeine

How much caffeine do you drink? I was mormon at the time when most people start drinking coffee I think, so I never developed the habit...Everyone I know LOVES coffee but the only reason I even know how to make it is that I had to for work...

So as a result, I have to be careful how much caffeine I drink. I accidentally drank too much today and I'm totally wired at 11 pm now.

Do you like coffee? Does it ever keep you up?

I drink a ton of it, but I think I've developed a resistance....it doesn't make me erratic or keep me up. I can drink a 1 liter Code Red in one sitting and go to sleep 20 minutes later.

That's how my husband was when he took caffeine pills. He didn't take a LOT of them, but he did take them every day, like 2 or 3 a day. Each one =2 cups of coffee.

He could easily sleep in spite of taking those and drinking tea and coffee. I drank a Rockstar this morning...which would have been fine I think, but then I drank a giant brewed iced tea from Seattle's Best Coffee. It was really big. I nursed that all day so it's not worn off yet.

im not a coffee drinker, and dont do energy drinks, but i LOVE dr pepper/pepsi, i prolly have one a day, 2 at most.

I LOVE the taste of energy drinks. It's so weird because everyone else thinks they taste like ass, lol. So I drink them now and then, early in the morning...I love cherry cola's too and I am "off" of them right now because they are like an addiction that I have to break now and again.

^^ yea ive never really liked energy drinks..

an yea dr pepper an pepsi can be addicting to me, i once went 6 to 7 months without soda couple years back, and was doin good not drinkin until i had a
sip of pepsi..it was over.

I tried SO many times to quit in the first year after the twins were born, to try to lose weight and plus it's bad for your teeth...But every time I ran out I would go through a drive through to get a coke or a pepsi. Now I'm doing better and I just have an energy drink now and then but I don't drink any other soda.

^^ thats good, i been tryna drink more juice these past couple of weeks, maybe i can slow down my drinkin soda as well

I've been drinking a lot of herbal tea, and also some of this

I like it because a tiny squirt makes my water taste less chlorine-y, but adds no calories.

its called mio liquid? wat is it, a tea?

It's a "water enhancer" lol. It's just a super concentrated liquid that if you put a lot, it would probably be a lot like Kool Aid and if you put a little like me, it's like squeezing a lemon into your water but sweeter and a different flavor. Similar to a "fruity" herbal tea in flavor but really quick.

and that sounds good, i do like addin lemon to my water.

I am a caffeine addict. I drink tons of pops during the day but cut it out at night not cause the sugar keeps me up but cause it makes me pee every 5 mins.

I drink a cup a day, sometimes 2, it usually does not keep me up at night.

Rarely drink soda. RARELY. I used to be a big coffee drinker a few years ago, but I've pretty much cut that out too. All I drink now is tea for the most part. And I don't even drink that a lot. So nope, no caffeine addict over here.

That's just the flavor, mine is strawberry watermelon I just weighed in today and I've lost 5 pounds since I switched from drinking soda to that stuff.

AWESOME

Usually a cup in the morning and then that's it, though I'll drink herbal teas throughout the day. If I know I have a long day or need to be alert in the evening, I might have a second cup but not usually after 4:00PM.

I was thinking of buying some of that. So is it worth buying? I normally use the Crystal Lite Peach Tea mix for my water.

I like that it's liquid, you just squirt a tiny bit in and it's super easy/fast. Plus you aren't opening up a little packet because it's not premeasured. You can use what you want and leave what you don't.

Cool- I'll have to try it out when I go to the store again.

I usually drink two cups of coffee a day, and maybe one 1-liter pop, every two days or so. I used to be a lot worse with caffeine, but as I get older, I'm not handling it as much as I used to.

I wonder if people get more sensitive to caffeine as they age?

I have a cup of coffee or two before lunch. Rarely any in the afternoon but I do drink more Pepsi Max than I probably realize in the evening. That's about half the caffine of coffee but I am trying to ween myself from it but that's more to reduce my use of artificial sweetener.

I work the overnight shift in a hospital, so I survive on coffee and caffeine.
