Where do you do your laundry?

I think very few homes have an established 'laundry room', for some reason a lot of people seem to keep their washer/dryers in the basement, why I don't know, I guess the room but I wouldn't think going up and down the stairs all the time would be convenient, especially since a lot of basements have narrows steps.

But I digress...if you don't go to the laundromat, where do you keep your washer and dryer? Ours is in the ground floor bathroom, which if you think about it can be pretty convenient; at least it has been for us over the years. And when I get my own place I think that's where I'm going to have them hooked up too, it just makes sense to me.

Ours is in the basement.

we have a laundry room..

one door connects to the kitchen another connects to my (guest) bathroom) and another door which leads to backyard

I'm in an apartment, so I use the laundry room on my floor.

We have a laundry room off the kitchen. There are two doors, one leads to the laundry room, one leads outside.

My laundry room is at the Soap N Suds on Springfield Blvd.

There's about a half dozen or so scattered around our complex. They're card access and the cards also pay for the washers and dryers. I'm doing a load or two tonight. I've been carrying our wash out the front door for almost 30 years. No big deal.

I don't like those. I much, much, much prefer a coin operated laundromat.

They are like that in the complex where my Dad lives, its a pain to have to put money on the card and then have to make sure it dosen't run out.

I had to use coin laudries for years. Where I live now too until they renovated a few years ago. I like it much better than coin operated. It's easier for me to just go to one of the laundry rooms and recharge the card than get to the bank for a roll of quarters. I realize most laundramats have change machines now but it's a lot easier for me to walk around to the laundry room closest to me then it is to get in my car, drive to the closest laundramat and spend almost two hours there. Doing our wash on the premisise lets me do other things. Like type this while the clothes are in the dryer. Works for me.
