Have you ever been a AT&T customer? They tend to have a lot of disgruntle customers. How was your experience?

I used to be but on 9/11 I could get no service at all and people that had Verizon had service so I switched to Verizon after 9/11. Verizon is a total rip off but as far as signal strength they seem to be the best.

Great customer service in the land of dropped calls.

We had 'em back in the day for the landline I think. Never had them as a cell phone provider, but when my contract is up with T-Mobile in August......I'm thinking of switching to them. I really want that iPhone.

^^Verizon has it now too. So you don't have to settle if you don't want to anymore just to get the iPhone.

I know Verizon has it, but apparently since AT&T are still the primary iPhone service providers, Verizon will be one step behind them. Like if (when) Apple comes out with a new phone, Verizon will get it like 6 months after AT&T. That's what I heard. I haven't really looked into it. I do know whoever has the cheaper phone plans is who I'd prob. go with.

I was an AT&T user. And if you want my opinion of that company, you should call me... I'll answer using my Verizon HTC Droid.

I had AT&T for landline service a long time ago and hated their customer service. I hated when they bought Cingular, and now I'm annoyed that they're buying T-Mobil.

Yeah Cingular was very good. My first cellphone provider was them, and their customer service was excellent. AT&T buying them out and furthermore closing all the cingular stores was disheartening.

Re: What's your opinion of AT&T?
I had AT&T years ago for the land line. I can't recall what all I disliked or the details. I just recall a lot of misc. charges being added on a regular basis, and it just getting too expensive.
For cell service around here, I hear they really suck. Not good reception at all.
A few years ago, a door to door guy actually had me convinced they were the better cable provider (vs. Time Warner) and I was prepared to do the switch. Then that dumb ass asked me when he could stop by when "the man of the house" would be home to help me with the paperwork. Maybe it is their policy to have both adults present, but the way he said it pissed me off. So, that was that.

Re: What's your opinion of AT&T?
We don't have AT&T where I live but Telus would be the Canadian equivalent if you're talking about the frequency of disgruntled customers. I've heard a lot about AT&T, but it sounds like it's not a company I should wish would come up here.
