Despite its supposing to be a dramatic moment, I really wish I had a gif Gigi and Rex's faces when it looked like Shane went over. It was as if they saw a boogie man.

I'm SO glad that I'm not the only one who found Rex's expressions throughout those scenes on the roof scenes to be... uhm...well... the scenes lost their potency because when Rex kept screwing up his face like that, I couldn't help laughing. He just looked so... like he was a pumpkin with his mouth carved out be a little kid - twisted and crooked. When Rex and Fifi first burst onto the roof top and saw Shane and Rex twisted his face into that grimace, I burst out laughing and then it happened again. To me, it's just more proof that JPL REALLY can't do serious scenes. Once again, JPL and FF detracted from scenes, though the kid playing Shane did well... Austin is his name? The scene where it looked like Shane went over really did it for me, though and despite the seriousness, I once again found myself laughing. JPL and FF were just too much.

I'm not a fan of Jack or Blaire but I found there scenes far more powerful in terms of acting and I'm really not a fan of NuJack. The kid who plays Shane has potential but casting him with JPL and FF is going to doom him.

FF did awesome. I even showed the scenes to a non-OLTL fan and she admitted singled FF out as award worthy. (Although she admitted that Rex didn't seem all that into it.)

I feel JPL redeemed himself today. I thought he was awesome. And I thought the scenes were all awesome. I still think these three are among the show's best.
