90-square-foot microstudio $700/month!!!

I like the way she set it up...............but nah. I couldn't do it. Too small. I need space. She's paying cheap rent though.

No way that's for me but she lives better than many other people and if she's willing to make that kind of compromise to live where she wants, good for her. Gotta laugh though. "I've had 8 or 9 people just hanging out."? No, you've had 8 or 9 people just standing in one spot. And forget that bed! I would have fractured my skull within a week. If she has sex in that "apartment" it's gotta be on the floor.

Her sleeping arrangement would freak me out, like i couldn't breathe. Way too claustrophobic up in that crawl space.

I got short of breath just watching at that, it looked like an office or a small basement.

ITA Robbie - I couldn't do it. I'd be too claustrophobic.

Come to think of it, 90 SF is just a little larger than a prison cell.

I could never adjust to her setup; I'm too prone to walking around in the middle of the night in the dark. She tries something like that, she'll wind up bruised.

That is just plain crazy but if it was a full studio she would probably be paying 2 grand or more a month.

I'm too claustrophobic to stay in something like that. I need to be able to get up and walk around from room to room....her place is like being in jail. You have all your stuff, but it's still the size of a cell. And no kitchen? What the hell?

Definitely more. She'd be paying closer to three. She's near Central Park. Her rent is below dirt cheap. Which I'm sure is the sole reason she tolerates living in that matchbox.

You have to admire this woman's ingenuity though. She developed a 'system,' one that's cost effective, considering where she lives

You have to really want to live in NYC to be willing to make those kind of improvises. I remember I considered moving to New York (Brooklyn) from Atlanta around 4 years ago because naturally im a city girl so I wanted to move somewhere with a lot going on (and not just celebrity events either). So I looked up apartments in Brooklyn and they were about $1300 a month for a small two bedroom apartment in a neighborhood close to the projects. I was like no thank you, I might as well stay in Atlanta and buy a house for the same price.
