| Love 'em but not from BK. - Quote :
- Rehydrated onion, bleached wheat flour, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, water, yellow corn flour, sugar, contains 2% or less of the following: gelatinized wheat starch, corn starch, calcium chloride, modified food starch, methylcellulose, salt, fructose, guar gum, sodium alginate, yeast, sodium bicarbonate, glucano delta lactone, sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, natural onion flavor, garlic powder, hydroxy propyl methylcellulose, sorbitol. Prepared in partially hydrogenated vegetable shortening.
Give me these any day 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 cup milk, or as needed 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs seasoned salt to taste 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed

| I hate onions but love onion rings too, we usually get the ones from Schwan's, or I get some of the 'fresh' ones from the deli which have an entirely different kind of breading coating than the others. | |

| I love them too. But I don't like BK's at all. One day I bought them from Walmart's deli and those are really good, so now I get about six of them sometimes when I go there. Not too healthy, but really yummy.
Alan, thanks for posting that recipe. I have been wanting to try them at home because all three of us like them.

| Guess I'm the opposite. I like onions, but I don't care for onion rings. Other than the chips, it's not something I would crave or seek to eat. | |

| Yes I do like onion rings, the kind you get in a diner that are big, not the little ones, they tend to be way too greasy. | |

| It depends on the place. Admittedly, I like the 'faker' onion rings you get at Burger King than I do the more real made-of-onion rings you get at restaurants. | |

Ditto. I can scarf down BK rings, but it wasn't that long ago that I went to some sit down restaurant and ordered onion rings for an appetizer and thought they were nasty....too oniony.
