Blacking Out

You ever had an experience where you "blacked out" while awake and didn't remember the next moment?

Once. I was really sick - got out of bed and next thing I knew, I was lying on the floor. My Mom figues I had Norwalk, as it was going around and some of the daycare kids I worked with had had it or so we suspected. Parents wouldn't admit it 'cause they'd have had to keep the kids home and the stupid daycare allowed us to adminster medication with the parents' persmission do they'd shot them full of kid's medicine and send them to us and let us give them another dose at lunch.

When I was about 13, I was biking with my friend Jake. The next thing I knew, I was in the ditch, on the opposite side of the road with him asking what the hell happened.

Can't say that I have.

The only time I remember ever blacking out was when I had too much to drink. Those stuttering minutes before finally passing out are always erased.

Once when I was seven years old, my parents took my sisters and me to a Halloween dance party. I got on the floor in my costume, and danced. I don't know what came over me, or where my mind went, but I got really into it and blacked out. When I finally came too, my parents and sisters were sitting at the table just watching me.

Ooops, I forgot about this. Okay, I guess I would say I've had one episode where I 'blacked out'. But then again, I still do remember most of the details from that night. Just bits and pieces are a bit fuzzy to me.

I have blacked out from drinking more than once, but that is the only instance of it happening.
