It got up to 90 degrees here today and it got me to thinking that in a couple of months we'll probably be turning on the AC. We're always the LAST in the neighborhood to turn ours on, and ours is always the highest at 79-80, not by choice though. How about everyone else? When do you usually get your air conditioner going in summer?

It all depends. We live upstairs so it's always warmer to begin with when the weather gets warmer. Definitely by July if not before.

we have an air conditioner but it's portable and we only use it one or two days a year, when it's above 90 for a couple days or so.

I only turn on the central air when it gets over probably 88.

When it gets unbearable. If it's hot outside but the fan and the ceiling fan is doing a decent job.....I'll get through it. Ever since my mother started making me pay the electric bill around the last year and a half I was living with her, I've been mindful of using and wasting electricity. I definitely conserve it a lot more. So when it's just too damn hot and I'm not comfortable, I'll turn it on. Usually around mid-July.

For the most part I never turn on the a/c before the month of June.

Sometimes in May I have to turn it on just to sleep at night. Usually I have it running in late June through September when its the hottest here.

It needs to be above eighty degrees before I start messing around the air. Before that point, I will just use my fans.

We don't really have spring here. It's cold until June, and then it's 100 degrees all of a sudden and stays that way until September. I'm exaggerating, of course, but you get my drift.

Usually the A/C will come on in June. We adjust it accordingly, daily.
