    I prefer the fresh liver, never been a fan of the liverwurst. You know, when I look at it, I can't stop wondering, if nobody eats the wurst yet, or it is already eaten.

    IMO, anything to do with liver is plain nasty and disgusting. My grandparents used to make it for dinner when us grandkids were over and none of us liked it. My husband, after hunting, is always wanting me to cook liver and onions (Sweet) and I tell him, I have to be dead before I will cook that. Even if he cooks it while I'm not there, the smell lingers in the house. GROSS!

    Back when I ate dead animal parts, liverwurst or braunswieger were my favorite lunch meats. On white bread with mayo.
    I also liked potted meat sandwiches with mayo.

    Actually, maybe I just liked the mayo. big grin
