Nathan's all the way, I don't know if Nathan's goes accross the country but there are a few of them left here in NY and their fries top any of the other fast food chain fries. They even sell them frozen in the supermarket and even those are the best. They are know for their hot dogs which for some reason are the best too.

^^I like Checkers too, they've got a bit of a kick but all the Checkers in my area are closing. I tried Wendy's to see about the new sea salt. Sorry - thumbs down. To each their own.
