How sad that Viki and Bo have been reduced to be playing props for the driest "romantic sage" in daytime that is Rex and Gigi.

It's especially painful to watch Viki get relegated to prop status. If she's not propping Gigi, it's one of her daughters, or Charlie's little this and that's with Dorian. Her chat with Gigi about Rex today was drier than sand. I'd like to imagine that maybe it's ES's back surgery recovery that is causing Viki to be so mundane, but I don't know if I'm quite that idealistic.

Viki, for all intents and purposes, is a supporting character now. It has been that way for about a decade now.

It is a shame Erika Slezak has been reduced to supporting roles, yesterday, when I saw her with the ever whining Gigi as much as I wanted to see Viki, I had to FF all the scenes with her and Gigi, seeing them pruning flowers together was a bit too much for me to handle since I can't stand Gigi.

Today is the exact same thing, just substitute Gigi with Natalie.

I liked Rex and Gigi in the beginning when they were kind of a cute androgynous kind of couple but all of that went downhill when the writers started to heap all the heavy drama on them instead of playing to their strengths which is light wisecracking comedy.Once they threw in the dying kid scenario,they lost whatever charm they had.
As for Viki and Bo,they both deserve way better than what they've been served but I'm hoping that better things are in store for them and the other vets.
