More problematic? Religion. If people could apply it to their own lives there wouldn't be a problem. But they insist on thrusting their beliefs on everyone else to the point of attempting to make them into the law. Then it becomes problematic. Don't believe in abortion? Don't have one. Don't believe in gay marriage? Marry someone of the opposite gender. Don't believe in "gambling"? Don't buy a lottery ticket. (and they might want to cancel that church raffle) But leave everyone else the hell alone. Science on the other hand has cured disease & eased suffering, rather than cause it.

| Of course I wouldn't be so sure that science wasn't responsible for a lot of the problems they solved. How do we REALLY know where all the diseases are coming from? They'd never admit to being responsible for unleashing epidemics on the public if they were. | |

| Science easily. Science could solve a lot of problems but lately, there's so much junk science that it's ended up just standing in it's own way.
Besides, most of the harm religion has "done" is really just people's own selfishness taking control. The "religion has done all this harm" argument is tired and fallacious.

Please! Religion and for much longer than recently. To deny it is laughable.

What - like firemen starting fires and policemen robbing banks so they can save the day?

What - like firemen starting fires and policemen robbing banks so they can save the day? Well to quote Vincent Price, it's unconventional but not impossible. If you think about it, it is job security, they make sure there's always diseases needing curing and they're in business for life.

Please! Religion and for much longer than recently. To deny it is laughable. To deny it is to think about the entire issue and see that religion hasn't done squat. People just use religion as one of many excuses to do what they want at the expense of other people. To act like religion is the actual motivation is what is laughable.

| They have both caused issues.
Science,on its on, is a great thing; but when it's filtered through organizations like the FDA, it just causes more problems.
Religion, on its on, doesn't cause war; however people are ignorant and use it to mask their bigotry and then justify pointless territorial war.

| Both create more questions than they answer. Both expand your consciousness allowing for greater perception. An example is a telescope looking into space, as bigger and bigger telescopes are used we become aware of what we couldn't see before, requiring even bigger telescopes. This process can go on forever. | |
